alec wasn't feeling well yesterday so i made dinner-- red lentil dahl with 3x the garlic the recipe calls for. we also had spinach salad with mint and basil from the garden.

we spent the rest of the evening watching arrested development and also watching tim play NHL 2007, which is in some ways more entertaining than watching real hockey.

these shots were taken on my nikon d70 with a manual focus lens: the nikon e series 1.8/50. i got the lens on a nikon em that was kind of beat up, so it hasn't been very well cared for. there's a lot of dust trapped inside but it still looks pretty good. i like the bokeh, in these shots as well as in the ones i've taken on the em.

there's nothing like fresh mint. it soothes deep into the soul...
